Hallelujah belongs to the tunes that Fats liked to play on each occasion, but never in the same way. This version, transcribed from the live recording at the New York “Yacht Club” in 1938, is rather different from the version of 1935. It's one of the most representative recordings of Fats' energy and spontaneousness.
